You know this is bad when I’ve been dragged back into this shit, and actually give enough of a damn to do this public service and say how much of a horrible idea this would be. People can change, I agree. Unfortunately, you've not proven to be one of those people yet. You’ve historically (as recent as less than a year ago, not "a couple") been a narcissistic, attention seeking, blatantly bullshit spouting individual, who’s unprovoked harassment has genuinely affected numerous members of the community, many of whom deserved better than to have ever met you in the first place. You’ve since made zero attempts to reconcile with any of those who were seriously affected, and in fact as recently as days ago I’ve seen screenshots of you and your buddies continuing to blatantly attack some of those individuals. That “code” that you and others were spamming in chats the last time you graced Flux with your unholy presence, is still hanging around in your mind, as evidenced with just some of the above-mentioned recent attacks. If that’s still lingering in your head and you still believe it’s funny to call people whores in secret code, who knows what else will randomly resurface in the near future? I can also see that you’ve successfully instilled to your friends all your false beliefs about other members of this community, who’re now continuing some of the same relentless unprovoked bullying that you also decided was a “funny joke”, despite it genuinely fucking with people’s mental health. Witnessing this behaviour still continuing after all this time just says to me that you’ve not changed at all. You’re 27 hanging out with kids half your age, yet I’ve met 12-year-olds in Garry's Mod who are twice as mature as yourself. Starting strong with saying the current staff team is a mess, majority contribute nothing to the server besides pop a message in the discord every couple days. There is no suggestions made to keep the game fresh or QOL suggestions made by any staff in #community-suggestions at all, and barely any moderating done besides a select few such as: @ Tim_The_Warlord @ Richard Thick @ lux @ Wheezer . That's only 4/16 that do anything honestly (besides @ Menace @ MrPickles @ Nekota who which I'm sure does alot behide the scenes). The staff apps also need to become stricter and harder to apply and taken more seriously, people apply, get accepted and then barely play. There needs to be some way of combating this, an example could be if inactive for X amount of days then warnings are to be made then eventual demote (again just an example). This is all probably easier said than done, but a overhaul definitely needs to be done with the current staff and staff apps.

Now, to be clear, much of this statement refers to a minority of players, most people on the server are awesome to play with and be around. I'm gonna be completely transparent with people outside of the loop here, as this crap's getting way too out of hand. Garry's Mod players are phenomenal and taking others for granted. A large percentage of the player base, in all game modes not just TTT, gets enjoyment out of berating and harassing users and staff, bullying behaviour basically, and in many cases far more severe than anything you would experience in the workplace, schools, or most other online platforms. Garry's Mod is by far one of the most toxic, debilitating and disengaging communities out there, which is unfortunate because there's some absolute legends in the community as well, and it's for many of these that people stick around. This does not, however, discount the enjoyment that many will get from helping try to maintain the peace within the community. What many rule breakers don't understand is the sheer amount of lenience granted in Flux compared to other communities. Previously, we've known plenty of servers who ban for the slightest of infractions, in Flux we don't want to poison our community by trimming our numbers so harshly and coming off as power trippers and rule Nazis. Unfortunately, in cases when the rules do need to be strictly enforced, people scream abuse or start slandering the staff, and in typical Garry's Mod fashion, causes many players to jump on the same bandwagon and start the same behaviour to get a reaction from the staff member. There are only so many times a staff member can resist outright bullying for doing their job before it begins to wear them down and take a toll. If the staff members gives a reaction in any way, that is taken and abused by the bullies, which only makes the situation worse. It's the same behaviour demonstrated in the schoolyard, which is incredibly disappointing when it comes from many who no longer attend school - I would assume that they find comfort in this as they are still yet to find any purpose in the world. This is but one factor that can affect a staff's activity, however it is a huge one that leads to many others. If a player who is behind this bullying behaviour has friends and enemies within the staff team, it can cause rifts and divides, and the feeling that one may be alone in the fight against this unacceptable behaviour. On top of this, there have been instances where staff have severely broken rules and gotten away seemingly scot free, which only further divides the team, hence the unfortunate reason that many rules have had to be more strictly enforced as of late. That is also incredibly disappointing to see from a team who are supposed enforce rules effectively and need to have each other's backs, and is another cause of why staff go absent for seemingly no reason. Unfortunately there are no real threats to going inactive, staff tend to leave after months and months of inactivity rather than get demoted, which if anything discourages activity more than anything. With that said, the key thing to remember with staffing Flux is that this is a volunteer position, and whilst it isn't a valid excuse for lengthy durations of disappearances (months on months), life does get in the way of things. Nearly all staff members have jobs or schooling of some form to attend to, and life will always take precedent over Garry's Mod server. To reiterate, much of this is directed at those who are problematic, and not the everyday TTT player. Most of you guys are awesome, there are select individuals in Flux who are a major factor in staff not wanting to be around, and until these players either pull their heads out, leave Flux, or are removed by force (which may yet happen to some), there will continue to be staff who have no incentive to play yet still wish to retain their role in the hope that one day they may feel up to it again. Of course, there are also mods who just don't want to play anymore because the game got boring after time, so we'll see how it all goes, eh? Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

Purposeful usage of an ambitious, yet appropriate comparison of the server to 'Gotham City' - which is something I've longed for someone to mention, as the current state of the server falls below subpar. In fact, 'Batman' is a very great analogy when it comes to proving AGENT47's ability to sustain an authoritative position. When actor Robert Pattinson was interviewed about his opinion on his prominent role in 'Twilight', he described the character to be a "manic-depressive who hates himself" - outright expressing shame & regret in engaging with the role. With such ruthless remorse that continues to haunt the rest of his lifetime, this will never reach beyond the levels of desperation I'm currently holding for AGENT47 to become a moderator. And rest assured, you will hold egregious amounts of regret if you do decide to dismiss this application. An absolute pleasure to play TTT with, hilarious with a heap of humor - yet he is still able to unpack himself into being a responsible man of justice. When duty calls, the disguise as the server's class clown loosens off and reveals himself as FLUX TTT's vigilante. In true "agent fashion" if I may say so myself. With strong conviction, I can say it's only a matter of time before AGENT47 becomes the admired moderator - even going as far as to predict him to become a "voice of our generation". Two days from now will mark my 8-year experience of playing Garry's Mod, in which I can say wholeheartedly it's been quite a ride. Whether it'd be trudging against the treacheries of triple karma punishments being forcefully pushed, or joining with the jolly yarns of frequent FLUX goers that we'll eventually yearn for in years to come - both elements of the "good and evil" (as AGENT47 points out) is what makes this moderator candidate more authentic than any other individual I've come across in the recent months. More humane. And trust me - I've met many men, and while they may wish death upon me, AGENT47 will always have mercy on my soul. The only real question that is needed be asked right now, only needs to be asked by AGENT47 himself. It's no longer of the statement of "I can be your hero", but rather "Do you believe I can do this?". And if you ask me, I genuinely believe AGENT47 can become the greatest moderator. I think it would be cool if everyone had the option to swap between two skins on a gun, essentially you would have two slots you can put a skin into to swap between and once they are full you have to use a skin remover to empty one of the slots. You could even have it so you have a slot for event skins that can't be stripped and a slot for regular skins. I think this would benefit the server as most people tend to get bored of using the same skin all the time but some have a skin they don't want to delete. I also think it would give people the opportunity to try out skins they haven't used before. The idea for this has come from using an event skin that I don't want to delete, another alternative would be the ability to take limited skins off guns and put them into your inventory like with a skin stripper but I think it would be much better if you could just swap between two skins as it would kind of solve that anyway. One issue with this would be that people wouldn't need to use skin removers as often, to counter this you could put a VIP credit cost onto changing skins if it seems necessary and if it were around the same cost as a skin remover. tldr; skin get boring want variety

So I told myself I wasn't going to log back into this rot hole but holy fuck man, this is bad. Open discussion for something that will knowingly receive terrible feedback (because of laziness on many community members' behalves) is a crap idea, it's not warranted when the outcome is already expected. This was a vetoed decision months in the making purely to make it easier on Menace, he already has a gargantuan task of doing the server, you know he doesn't pay enough attention to everything else so why should his job be even more difficult by needing to sift through a day or two worth of spam in a Discord chat. You must be planning a HUGE amount of stuff cause you've said that for six months and never presented anything to me, besides the rank badges of which I only got because most of the work was simple for you/already existed on the previous artwork. I was never presented with any of the other things I asked for to work on the numerous additional plans (additional/redesign of badges, name icons, forums background, etc.) This entire paragraph is one great by hyperbole. 1. The link is literally right there in the description, if you're on phone ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is just swipe to the side and BAM, it's right there, all the text and links ready to click on. How do I know? I literally just did it. 2. If even that is too hard, try clicking on ANY of the bot posts in the suggestions chat and again, BAM, you're straight to the forums. It's. That. Easy. 3. Formatting is also something that VERY few people other than yourself would actually do, maybe they'll use bold or underscore, but I doubt they're gonna go hardcore text editor, there's no format minigame achievements so why would they need to?. I really don't understand what you're trying to make here, if you have posted anything at all before and have a link (Discord, forums, literally any other external link), then it can be put in a forums response. Screenshots can also be uploaded, very easily. I'm genuinely confused by this one. Over 90% of active accounts are Steam, if you forget your Steam password on your PHONE, then you're an idiot. They're right on the side of Discord, directly above all other users, if the description is too small just tap on it and voila, they're there. Again, very basic feature of Discord, if it's not showing on your phone then that sucks to be you, but it's in the standard app. Phone forums and PC forums are pretty well the same thing with essential features, slightly different interfaces but it's all still there, idk what you're talking about here. I feel like you're grasping at straws for reasons for this to not stay as it is, just because you're SO used to using Discord in all your other communities, so in return you're also SO much against using the forums here. This whole thing was mulled over for half a year, yes there was bound to be a lot of community upset, and yeah there's a fair bit of change, but realistically the only thing that should be done differently is for a bot to add +1 and -1 reacts (which is a piece of piss to setup for anyone who can actually use bots), and it'll be right as rain. Otherwise, it's exactly where it should be, the Discord shouldn't be relied upon so heavily for such vital features of the community, and the previous alternative (let people use both) saw the forums receive no use, this way people are forced to use the forums and go outside of the usual comfort zone, which allows for valuable pieces of feedback rather than just straight up denials for why it's oh so (not very) much more inconvenient.

I can always rely on Agent to accurately assess a situation. He shows up and immediately asks "WHAT HAPPENED", he doesn't assume (that makes an ass out of u and me) but he asks the question. He has thoroughly tested the limits of the karma ban system (maybe has a future in dev testing?!) and gets karma banned every day to make sure the system is still functioning as intended. The one negative thing I have to say is that he never showed up when we arranged to have a fight in the skycity carpark by the red Mazda. I even offered to go to the buffet with him afterwards, but no show. I think he waited by the wrong car. That's in the past now though. All the best for your application and your Pak'N'Save career.

I've been a long time player of Flux(since 2017) and I've been on and off in terms of being apart of the community, mostly fixing myself. Some things people don't know is that I collect Pokémon cards as well as numerous other items, I'm stepping up in my workplace to assistant manager and I completed my Nail Technology certificate this year! I'm a sucker for all things artistic and Scooby-Doo. I first got into Garry's mod in school and racked up most of my hours in the murder server I Head-Admin'd for, I loved the game and at that time was only paired with TF2 and after awhile Minecraft (as I was playing on a fat fucking school laptop). With my over 2,500 hours on Garry's Mod I still somehow keep coming back to the game, I'm gonna be honest tho Melon Bomber is my fav gamemode. Reason for Application: I've always loved this server, I've tossed and turned about applying every so often and even asked staff months back (a year ago? I can't remember.) for staff recommendations although decided not to apply as I wasn't in a good head space. I've always come and gone from the Discord server itself and although I'm not active in the voice chats(too noisy for my taste.) I'm quite active in the text messages, when it comes to wanting to apply for staff it's just to be apart of a forever growing community and being able to give a helping hand where I can. I cannot speak like others do to say that there's a lack of staff as in my opinion there's not but as Flux continues to grow and change, I think it'd be great to have more staff applicants just to be there and give their opinions, help out and overall continue to make Flux better. Community Wide Suggestions Deleting/Reshaping current inactive servers Death run: This is a stale game mode in and of itself, sid was removed from manager after I guess him not doing anything for it/is inactive on it, that's from what I know, don't slam me if I'm wrong. But there is no need for this server to still be up, other projects and servers could replace death run with an actual stable player base instead of a dead one, I personally believe that deleting the server and replacing it with something else is the best course of action. Also, Minecraft Server ? We can possible any game mode if we set our mind to it and with a proper team that genuinely cares about the server. TTT Vanilla Work from ground up with gun team and development team Higher tickrate No pointshop 500 Grav, 40-50 sv_airacc Balanced weapons with their own unique stats and values XP system connected to TTT Vanilla (F3 menu would only have leader board) Replace TTT2 with vanilla? Current TTT Server Suggestions Gun Team - A dedicated gun team made up of community members, staff and management that decide on gun statistics and values, with a gun team the TTT servers can slowly be revamped into a server that hasn't got broken weapons beyond belief, I feel that having a team of dedicated players that know the gamemode inside and out, instead of having one individual doing all the work and constantly tweaking the game files because something is 'too' broken or not broken enough is a good idea. It's hard to edit weapons on a TTT server, you're constantly tweaking stuff to fit a certain standard for the server, if you make something too broken, you either choose to make everything broken enough to fit that standard or going through the painful effort to make everything balanced enough. Removal of Weapons - These are guns that serve no apparent use to anyone I/we have seen on the server, these weapons are either not used or are literally there to buffer for other weapons AK-47 Redline - This weapon seems to be literally a copy of the vulcan, except worse. I mean you could change it to make it slightly unique for the players, fiddle with the stats to make it a genuine weapon of itself (Gun team would do this) EM-6 - It's a higher magazine version of the m16, It's decent but is literally taking up space where other more unique guns could exist. Olympia VS Blundergat - 2 virtually identical shotguns, high damage, high cone, etc. 1 could probably go. M1911, Tec 9 and HK45C - They just exists for no purpose? No one uses it, its easily outclassed by any other pistol, even the glock. KAC PDW - Vector but worse and is basically a placeholder for something that could of been better and more unique than what it currently is. Ares Strike & Grenade Launcher - Grenade Launcher isn't in the game, its a Ares but its still its own class of gun, so its here. Its a reskinned HUGE, theres plenty of other options for the heavy type of class. G3 - Its the exact same as the G3SG1, literally the same weapon. Remington ?- This ones a bit of a question mark, it's a battle between this and The Raging Bull VIP+ Update Inventory expansion pack for VIP+ Inventory sorting button/menu - Sorts from most valuable e.g. Legendary>blue>green Have the sorting menu include an outline of the weapons: Legendary is orange etc. (Like borderlands) Regulars and Trusted rank in-game: Forums Update We need to increase the activity for the forums as an actual platform for discussion, development, updates, issues and suggestions instead of a glorified website for applying for staff, or appealing a ban. While I was moderator, the staff team toyed with the fact of deleting the forums and using the discord as a primary of communication, as it is now and having the website as a place for only appealing a ban, requesting a ban or applying for staff. Discord is the primary use of communication, don't get me wrong this is great, but we need the forums for updates, changelogs, discussion and varying forms of important communication. Advertise updates on the forums like generic does for weapon changes. Post polls on what players want, this was done by Menace previously, but only when I asked him to do it. Incentive to sign up on the forums and join the steam group: "Join Flux Forums to receive an additional 10,000 points!" Forum Achievements: Forum Legend: Senior Manage, Community Admin etc. Each rank you can click on. Move around the addons for the forums, Whos active, who's online, who's birthday it is? Profile Update, profile songs, profile description etc. Community Sub forum General Issues & Suggestions Developer Applications Change log - Update Panel Discord Advertisement Developer Applications Developer Applications, lets face it, are needed for the community, we only have one developer and that's Menace. The rest of the management don't know how to develop at all, that's not a bad thing, but it isnt a great thing either. If we advertise developer applications on steam, forums, server and discord we are bound to get a few applications for the community. Setting up a developer applications would be much like applying for staff, except you would be more judged on your ability to develop than you're ability to be a staff member. Template would look something like this: Steam Name: Steam ID: Area of development you specialize in? What can you bring to the community? Tell us about yourself? You realise that any content you make/help with will be strictly kept by Flux Servers and not be taken with you unless you are given permission to. You understand that you will be on an extended trial period in which you will be assessed on your development skills? Any examples of your current/previous work: I understand that getting people to apply will be hard, and trusting people to develop your servers is harder, that's why the developers will be on a trial period and have a set amount of power on any individual panel or server. Management is inactive, lets face it and it isn't their fault, really it isn't, GMOD gets boring, the community gets boring, they have actual fucking lives they need living and don't need to be on the server 24/7 or being a manager 24/7. We all get that and I do, and I'm sure a great majority of the player base understand and respect the position that many of these staff hold and the reason they hold it. Taylor is inactive as hell, he may do a few things behind the scenes but all in all he is very inactive, but he earned his rank, from what I know he's basically a co founder of Flux, including Generic, they're both as much of Owners as Menace is in his own right. But, when Gmod is dissipating quickly and the remaining community's draw in the remaining number of players and try to keep their own community attracted to their style of game. it becomes increasingly more apparent that each community needs a well fit, active management team that actually genuinely cares about the server and the community and strives to keep it up, help players out and reinvents new concepts and actively tries new things. I wasn't the best moderator, I wasn't the best person, that's extremely clear, I'm extremely toxic and extremely annoying to deal with, amen. But, I care about the community and the server that i actively play, I spent 1000 hours on Poseidon and got staff their several times not because I was the nicest person but because I genuinely cared about the community, like I care about this one. Ive been riddled with 'infractions' over my time as staff on flux TTT, from rdming, abuse, harassment and supposed negligence among many, many other things, but to be honest, its hypocritical and I can say that confidently because I truly believe ive got a lot of people who agree with me that a majority of upper management have done worse off than me, and that's saying something if you have ever met me, the hypocrisy from upper management and the general attitude for the community is disheartening to say the least. You have staff who do what they please, then hiding behind some loophole of the rules, punishing a player for an X reason then not doing so for another, getting warned for targeted harassment and abuse, when the person who warned either does it himself or lets his 'friends' do the exact same and worse. But I genuinely am fine with it in the end, because at the end of the day these upper management at the very least have been doing something for the community instead of just doing wrong. They've earned their spot for their rank and shouldn't be taken out of it even though what they have previously done/continue to do is more shocking than what I do in a year. I was talking to alot of people about what they think of management, all in all, 'inactive' and 'they don't care' came up a lot. Management do care, most of us know this but they don't actively show it and would rather play other games they enjoy rather playing one where they either get targeted or get yelled out, to cut it dry I suggest the implementation of the 'Advisor' role, a backseat role for middle to upper management who don't really/decide not to do much community wide decisions or implementations anymore, to be clear the role is still apart of management, they are included in management decisions and have the commands and power (server wise) that they would previously had (Super Admin) but they aren't necessarily needed for management changes and community wide changes anymore, leaving certain individuals who are active on the community and more free time on their hands to actually support and benefit the community, depending on Menace these Advisors would still have server access too. @Management @Staff Please at least consider this at the very least, me and a few others have actively gone out of our for a very, very long time to put this together and we feel that these changes could positively impact the community and the server as a whole (especially the gun team xd) Special thanks to @Hakkem @Pixels @corn for helping me with this post, fuck it took long. I got banned because I sent a gif of a child being slammed onto the floor of a train.Since that time I have learnt from my wrong doings and have grown as a person and I admit that I was in the wrong for sending that gif and apologise for the sharing of child abuse on the fluxservers discord server. All i ask for is a second chance, a shot at redemption to return to the fluxservers discord as I have recently been playing on the TTT Gmod server and would like to interact with the community. I'd also ask for monk to not take another month to make a response as I don't think its that difficult of a decision to make.To add onto the reason I should be unbanned, I'd like to give my reasoning again that I thought that the gif I sent wouldn't end up getting me banned although it was a harsh gif the idea of child abuse is promoted by the sticker 'Dap me up' and a head admin has teased this ban reason by sending a gif of a child being punch when my good friend Remy asks when I could be unbanned. If anyone has played Clash of Clans, they have a system where top 5 clans of every month get free gems. My suggestion is we have a separate deathmatch from the all-time leaderboards and make a monthly leaderboard, and the top 10 people for example get rewards like flux money, t passes or whatever it may be; and the number 1 can get a tag or something for having the most kills in the month, then the board resets the next month.

Hi, my name is gifcartel (formerly Brock in the Hamptons) and I'm coming at the lot of you with a suggestion that will only benefit a small minority of the server. I believe that in order to reward the very good behaviour displayed during their staffing time, all former flux staff should be given a minor pension (nothing major) of perhaps a couple thousand fluxbux per week at least. For too long I see ex-Flux Staff sitting destitute on the sidewalk, begging for scraps (free legendary and glitched weapons). With this small handout I think we could give a helping hand to those who've helped us out before. Ok to start off you're not wrong we do need to be stricter on activity, the original reason we started accepting more apps was because we wanted to give more people the opportunity to be trial and learn that way because we felt it would the best way to see if someone was ready, then start demoting people who we felt didn't make the cut, now the problem that has been occurring is that once people make it past trial I do notice inactivity. All in all I do hear you an I will take this into account so that the staff are happy and so is the community, I have been thinking on this for awhile and lux and trey are both right but if you can't put in the time to staff maybe its best if you aren't staff, because that's the whole reason people apply is to help the server. I have been absent recently as well but I'm back.

Hello Everyone, After having a discussion with the community about a TTT server reset, I have decided to go in a bit of a different direction. So what I'm thinking is to creating a new TTT server base off the current server. The new server will have a completely different database, it will not have any of the data from the current server. So that means the current TTT server will not be getting wiped, it will stay the same. Development will freeze on the current server while I'm develop the new TTT server. Feel free to ask questions below

the reason for the ban being 2 weeks: you had multiple warnings plus 3 ban previous bans. (1 day, 3 days, 1 week.) there was a 4th ban for using an alt account to evade the ban (this account was permabanned). the actions that caused this ban: while i was playing you joined, you were afk for about half a map leading up to the map change. after the map changed you played a maximum of 2 rounds then went back to being afk. from what i have seen in the past this is exactly what you do, not to mention using binds/macros to avoid the auto spec which you had been warned about too. There are also cases where o have seen you be afk in the server for over 10 hours. multiple other players have noted this behaviour and this I had consulted with other staff members before making the ban.
